The BC PNP Strategic Occupations Program allows qualifying foreign workers in the tourism/hospitality, food processing and long-haul trucking industries to obtain permanent residence.
Prior to applying, the applicant must have worked full-time for their employer in BC for a period of nine consecutive months and have continuing full-time employment with that employer.
The application consists of a dual application process. The employer and the employee must both meet the requirements of the program.
Advantages
The BC PNP offers numerous advantages to participants, including that:
- You can obtain permanent residence, instead of temporary, increasing certainty for both the employer and the employee.
- You will receive Canadian permanent resident visas with unlimited travelling, working, and studying ability in and out of Canada.
- Upon becoming a permanent resident, you will have access to Canada’s free education and health care systems.
- You will have the opportunity to obtain Canadian citizenship after 3 years.
